Rope Twist Braids Hairstyles

Kamri, who is my model today, and I want to show you how to create a 
combo hairstyle, using the Waterfall Twist and a Rope Braid.</div>

Combined, these two braids make a very pretty look that’s perfect for
 summertime, inside or out of the pool, or simply when you are out and 
about enjoying your day.</div>

{If you are concerned about flyways, be sure to use a good pomade, or
 dry wax to help hold the braid forms. I wouldn’t recommend this to be a
 hairstyle on an extremely active day.}</div>

<strong>Items Needed:</strong> Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, 1 small hair elastic, hairspray and accessory {if desired}.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong>Time Requirement:</strong> 3 minutes</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong>Skill Level:</strong> Easy</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong>Step-by-Step Instructions:</strong></div>
<ol style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Begin by parting the hair on one side of the head…</li>
<li>On the heavy side of hair, pick up a small section near the front 
temple and divide it into two even sections {feel free to use spray 
water, pomade, or dry wax to help hold in flyways during braiding}…</li>
<li>Now, cross the bottom strand up and over the top strand…</li>
<li>Next, pick up a small strand of hair from above the waterfall twist and place it between the two original strands…</li>
<li>Let that strand fall down freely with the rest of the hair…</li>
<li>Now take the bottom strand of original hair and cross it up and over
 the top strand of hair {this will create a little pocket that the 
waterfall strands will sit in}…</li>
<li>Continue stranding Steps #3-6, with about 5-7 stitches of falling 
strands} until you have reached near the back of the head, and using a 
rubber band or hair clip secure that hair out of the way…</li>
<li>Shift all remaining hair to that one side of head, where the braid is, and let it fall over the shoulder…</li>
<li>Gather and divide that remaining hair into  this hair into even strands…</li>
<li>Now, add the the waterfall falling strands into the front section, 
and add the previously clipped hair from the waterfall twist into the 
back section…</li>
<li>Next, twist both big sections to the right…</li>
<li>Then, twist the two large strands over themselves <em>to the left </em>{this creates a rope twist that will not unravel when you let it go}.</li>
<li>When you run out of hair to twist, simply secure with a hair elastic and you are finished.</li>
<li>Add hairspray or accessory {if desired}.</li>
</ol>
