Aloha Sprinklerinos,
Well, I can't quite believe the response last week's Plus Size OOTD post received! I'm sure every blogger feels this way but I really truly think Sprinkle of Glitter readers are the very best. In case you missed it, you can see it HERE. To date 276 of you have left amazing comments and tens of thousands of you have read it, so, WOW. THANK YOU.
Since I had my camera/husband-man with me this weekend, I thought I would share another OOTD with you. I would love to make this a weekly feature but my most frequent companion is only 2 years old and not too great with a camera yet. We'll see how we go!
Outfit Round-Up
White 50's sunglasses :: River Island
Oversized navy tee :: ASOS Curve
Nude and rose gold jacket :: New Look
Long necklace :: Accessorize
Pink and lime scarf :: Accessorize
Supersoft skinny jeans :: Dorothy Perkins
Bow and crystal sandals :: Miss Selfridge
I had worn this outfit all day. That included walking all round Liverpool city centre shops, looking round a kiddie museum, lugging a pushchair up three flights of stairs (yay for broken lifts, not), in 2 restaurants (it was a good day haha) and then for a baby free stroll along the beach when Darcy was with her grandparents. This outfit is DURABLE!
I would have liked to have taken up close shots of the sandals but just now my feet are not 'summer ready' so I have provided you a link (in the outfit round-up) and urge you to check them out. They are dreamy! I think £49.99 is pretty expensive for a pair of sandals but these are just so pretty and so, so, so comfortable that I don't mind at all. I feel like they add a lot to an outfit and make you feel extra glamorous. Perfect for when your outfit needs a little boost.
The scarf and necklace were naughty impulse purchases this weekend from Accessorize but I think they make the outfit really fun and I always feel more confident with a scarf to draw attention away from lumps and bumps I'm not keen on.
The oversized tee is a recent purchase from ASOS. I bought it in a size 20 so that it would be kind of tunic-like on me and when I take the jacket off it gives a one-shoulder top effect which I think looks comfy-slouchy-sexy (good description there). Also, if you are bigger like I am, a top that skims your bum and tum is always going to be a winner.
Overall I am in love with this outfit. Not great in too much heat but perfect for the British summer, where layering is key and perfect for gals on the go, where comfort is key!
Do you have any favourite pieces from this look? Is there anything you would add or change? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
